Stress and Heart Disease

Stress also plays an important role in heart disease. One field of research has identified a pattern of behavior, called a "type A" which seems to be a characteristic of people who suffer heart attacks (Friedman and Rosenman, 1974). People who type A digambarakan as being really like to compete and achievement oriented, they have a sense of the importance of time, they are difficult to relax and become impatient and irritable if found delays or find people who are competent. The assumption is that people like that, although the outside looking in confident, tend to remain insensitive to doubt themselves, they push themselves to reach seuatu an increasingly large in that period less and less. The pressure to achieve, coupled with the hidden feelings of hostility, was considered the characteristics most likely to grow heart disease. People who type B is described as someone who is not listed highlight the characteristics of type A. those of type B can relax without feeling guilty and worked without a passion, they do not have a sense of importance due to the emergence of time with impatience. Anger and hatred generated by simple hard, and they showed less need to summon and speak achievement. Several studies show that people of type A are more likely to suffer heart attacks than people who type B (Rosenman, et al 1975. Haynes, Feinleb, kannel, 1980). How behavior affects the system of type A Cardio-Vascular still not clearly understood. Physiological influence of this kind of stress experienced by people of type A may be related to blood cholesterol levels continue to rise, an increasing trend circumstances red blood formation, increase blood pressure or increase spending hormone norepinephrine which may cause abnormality in heart rate. These physiological changes have been observed in people who experience temporary stress as well as the people who type A (Friedman, Thoresen, and Gill, 1981). A review of research concluded behavior of type A member ortang the major risk for heart disease, high blood pressure, high cholesterol levels and easy to heart attack.
